Terms & Conditions

  • Wagtail Country Park caterers for singles, couples and families.
  • Group or block bookings accepted solely at the discretion of the park owner or manager.
  • Whilst we may accept a block booking, we do not book shared pitches.
  • All deposits are non-refundable and cannot be used for another date.

The minimum deposit of £20.00 is required at time of booking.

Any booking for 5 nights or more will be charged an additional £5.00 per night deposit.

  • One-night stays need to be paid in full at time of booking and are non-refundable.
  • Bank Holidays must be paid in full at time of booking and the payment is non-refundable.

Any booking greater than the BH stay of 3 nights may have the balance paid on arrival.

  • We are unable to refund payment if guests decide to leave before the end of their booked period.
  • We recommend you consider insurance to cover cancellation or any un-foreseen circumstances.
  • Pitches are reserved from 12noon on day of arrival. Please do not arrive before this time without prior agreement.
  • Please check in at reception before continuing onto the park.
  • The pitch must be vacated on day of departure by 11am or a charge will incur.
  • Those wishing to make a late departure should enquire at Reception if this is available. There would be an additional charge of £5.00 to stay till 4pm.
  • A £10 cash deposit is required for a barrier card at check-in which is refundable on the safe return of the security barrier card before you depart.
  • Late arrivals are required to pay in full before arrival on or before the arrival date.  Please inform us if you will be arriving after 5pm and this will be catered for.
  • Dogs are welcome on the Park but must always be kept on a lead and must not be allowed to foul the Park. There are designated bins around the Park for dog waste which must be used.
  • BBQs are permitted, using charcoal or gas, provided they do not cause annoyance to other campers but must be kept well clear of the grass. We do not permit campfires or BBQs with wood.
  • No heaters unattended in awnings for safety reasons.
  • Washing lines must be of the rotary type.
  • All Visitors must report to reception (do not just enter the park). A charge will be made per visitor of £2.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admittance or to terminate the visit of any person or persons whose conduct is detrimental to Wagtail Country Park or to other visitors. The owners will not accept liability in respect of any person or the property of any person using the park however caused or sustained.
  • All children should be supervised by a responsible adult while playing on the park site.
  • Ball games allowed if not near any caravan or motorhome and supervised by an adult.
  • Please keep your speed to the 5mph speed limit while on the park. This is strictly enforced for the safety of everyone.
  • It is at the discretion of the Park owner or manager to allow commercial vehicles onto the park. No pickup trucks will be allowed.
  • Please keep noise to a respectable level.
  • Please do not walk in front or down the side of lodges as these are privately owned.
  • Please do not walk in front off or cut down the side of a pitch which has a caravan on as this encroaches on people’s privacy. Please stick to the paths.
  • When using the washing-up rooms, please do not empty fat down the sinks, as this will cause the sink to become blocked and create unpleasant smells.
  • Please use the waste bin provided for rubbish.
  • Fishing tickets are available from the site reception – you are not able to fish without a fishing ticket and you must hold a valid fishing licence.
  • Any children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when fishing.
  • Please ensure that your rubbish is placed in the appropriate dustbins provided.
  • Chemical waste should be emptied in the Elsan point and not in the toilets.
  • Please note that only toilet tissue can be placed down the toilets. Please do not flush sanitary products, kitchen towels or nappies etc as we are on septic tanks, and they will block the drains.

Seasonal Pitches

  • All the above rules apply.
  • You will be allocated a pitch for the term of contract.
  • Awnings can be used but it your responsibility to ensure your awning is secure to cope with all-weather conditions.
  • Awnings to always be kept clean.
  • These pitches are not residential therefore a max stay of 21 days in one visit will be accepted.
  • The Park cannot be used as a base to work from.
